Frequently Asked Questions

Q:  How do I book?

A:  The best ways to reach us are by calling us  or sending us a message on Facebook with the date & time you want to book.  If we are not available, leave us a message & we will return your message.

Q:  What about payment?

A:  Payment is due at the time of booking.  We accept credit and debit cards using Square.  If you prefer to pay cash in person you will need to set an appointment to come by to bring payment.  In most cases, we are able to hold the spot for 24 hours in order to give you time to finalize your booking and arrange for payment.  Receipts are available. 

Q:  How far in advance do I need to book?

A:   The sooner you book your session the higher the chance we will have availability.  We prefer at least 24 hours advanced notice.  Evening "golden hour" spots are very popular.  If you need a spot during the golden hour please contact us as early as possible!

Q:  What about cancellations?

A:  All payments are final (no refunds).  If your session is cancelled or rescheduled for any reason we are happy to provide a gift certificate for the amount you have paid which can be used in the next 12 months.

Q:  Is there a photographer on site?

A:  We welcome local photographers and their clients.  We are not offering photography services at this time.  

Q:  Can I book a session and come take photos with my cell phone or camera?  

A:  Sure!  You do not have to be a professional photographer to take photos here.  Please note that our hourly rates are the same for professional and amateur photographers.

Q:  How many photographers and clients do you allow at one time?

A:  Until further notice, we are booking only one client/family with their photographer.  You will not have to fight crowds of people when you book Memory Lane.  

Q:  Is there a changing area?

A:  Yes, we have a designated indoor changing space in our tiny house.

Q:  Can I come early & change at Memory Lane?  Can the photographer come early to set up gear and equipment?

A:  Set up & clean up are included in your time.  Please plan accordingly.  Please understand that we operate by appointment.  If you are running late you may have less time for your photo session.  

Q:  What type of photography can be done at Memory Lane?

A:  We are a family friendly business.  Any photography which would be considered family friendly is welcome.

Q:  Can we take photos inside the home?

A:  Due to the current Coronavirus pandemic and for everyone's safety, we are offering outdoor photo sessions only.  The porch area is considered outdoors and may be used.

Q:  Can we move things for our photo?

A:  Chairs or anything small may easily be moved.  If you need to move something the size of a bench or larger please ask use for assistance.

Q:  What if it rains?

A:  If you are not going for a rainy day look we will gladly reschedule your session based on availability.

Q:  Can we bring pets?

A:  We recognize that pets are an important part of many families.  We are able to accommodate most pets for outdoor photos with advanced notice.  

Q:  What about photo props?

A:  You are welcome to bring photo props to our property.  Confetti is not allowed.
