Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I book?
A: The best ways to reach us are by calling us or sending us a message on facebook with the date & time you want to book. If we are not available, leave us a message & we will return your message.
Q: What about payment?
A: Payment is due at the time of booking. We accept credit and debit cards. We can accept payment over the phone or send an invoice via email to pay online securely with a credit or debit card. If you prefer to pay cash in person you will need to set an appointment to come by to bring payment. Receipts are available.
Q: How far in advance do I need to book?
A: The sooner you book your session the higher the chance we will have availability. We prefer at least 24 hours advanced notice.
Q: What about cancellations?
A: All payments are final (no refunds). If you cancel or reschedule more than 24 hours in advance we will gladly apply your payment to a future session. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice will incur a $25 rebooking fee.
Q: Is there a photographer on site?
A: YES! We do offer on site photography services. Of course, we welcome local photographers and their clients as well.
Q: Is there a changing area?
A: Yes, we have a designated changing room available.
Q: Can I come early & change at Memory Lane? Can the photographer come early to set up gear and equipment?
A: Set up & clean up are included in your time. Please plan accordingly. For formal bridal and XV sessions we recommend 2 hours. Please understand that we operate by appointment. If you are running late you may have less time for your photo session. A 2 hour session will also give you more of a buffer if you are coordinating with a hair and makeup artist and/or travelling. We want to make sure you have all the time you need for your session.
Q: What type of photography can be done at Memory Lane?
A: We are a family friendly business. Any photography which would be considered family friendly is welcome.
Q: Can we take photos inside the home?
A: We do offer limited use of the indoors for photos. Popular indoor areas include the entrance, the living room, the piano area, and the staircase.
Q: Can we move things for our photo?
A: Chairs or anything small may easily be moved. If you need to move something the size of a bench or larger please ask use for assistance. Our antique hardwood floors are very susceptible to damage. * Due to the size & weight of the piano we do not allow the piano to be moved. *
Q: What if it rains?
A: There are a number of locations which can be used even in the rain, including the inside of the main house & the tiny house and the porch area outside. We do not offer refunds due to rain.
Q: Can we bring pets?
A: We recognize that pets are an important part of many families. We are able to accommodate most pets for outdoor photos with advanced notice. Small pets may be allowed for indoor photos. Please bring a leash!
Q: What about photo props?
A: You are welcome to bring photo props to our property.
Q: Can we book Memory Lane for our special event?
A: We are not an event center. However, if you have a special request for us give us a call. We consider requests for "special event photography sessions" on a case by case basis.
