Historic House

History of the Home

9/18/2014

This historic home is 100 yrs old!  It is very unusual to find homes of this age in our area.  While the exact date of the building is not known, it is believed to be built between 1912 and 1915.  Think for a moment about what else was happening in the world at that time.  The Titanic took its ill fated maiden voyage in 1912.  In 1913 Woodrow Wilson was inaugurated as president.  And sadly, 1914 saw the beginning of WWI.

Many of the large windows which adorn the home are original.
